We BOUGHT a House!

We bought a house today!!! AHHH...I know it's crazy, but we are so excited. Our new address will be: 79 Cimarron Meadows Close, Okotoks. We haven't worked out all the details yet, but we'll be in by October 1. I can't wait to have something that I can call my own and be in it in time to decorate for the holidays. It really makes me excited for Halloween and Christmas. If their are any volunteers to help move...I'm kidding. I am just excited to start packing. Doesn't that sound weird.
I'll try to post pictures when I can.

SuMmerLand, Bc- "the California of Canada"

We even spotted the Ogopogo in the Okanogan Lake. haha. A family friend created an amazing new sand scupture everyday we were there. She is so talented.
Elle is already out little bathing beauty!
We went to the go-carts one night. It was so much fun!

We had such a fun family vacation in Summerland, BC. It was well worth the 8 hour drive out there to spend time in the sun, with Jared's family, at the beach, and playing games every night. Even though it wasn't the hottest weather the week we were there, it was just fun to be in there. Elle enjoyed playing with her cousins everyday and being at the lake. She's getting so big and loved the water.  It was such a nice break from busy work schedules to relax and just enjoy our week we were there. We LOVE Summerland!!!

We're Having a NEW Baby

Thought that I should announce that we are having a new baby!!! I am due Dec. 19 and we are so excited. It has been fun to watch Elle learn more and more about babies and love my belly as it is growing. She already loves giving the baby kisses (by kissing my belly or blowing on it) and is obsessed with my belly button as it is popping out. We can't wait to watch Elle be a big sister.
This picture is older...I am 13 weeks here.

Elle wore this shirt to announce to our families that she was going to be a BIG sister.

BaNFF

We are so lucky to live so close to such beautiful national parks...we were even luckier to get to stay at the BaNFF SpRIngS HOteL as my Mother's Day gift from Jared and Elle. It was so much fun. I will admit, the night was hard having Elle sleep in the same room as us, but spending the day in Banff was so much fun. I felt like I was staying at a castle....it's just so beautiful and mysterious. Thanks Jared and Elle for a wonderful gift and a fun few days in BaNFF.
Elle found a friend as we were walking downtown Banff. This dogs name was Ellie too.

Elle loves to swim and the hotel has the funnest swimming pool. They have a little kiddie pool inside, a lane swimming pool inside, a hot tub, and then a big outdoor pool too. It was fun to go back and forth between all of the pools.

{Happy Canada Day}

We had such a fun time down at my parents house celebrating CANADA'S birthday and being with family. It was so nice to have Jared there for 3 whole days with no interruptions from work. We went to the Raymond Parade, hung out outside, ran through the sprinklers, painted rocks, and ate. It was such a relaxing few days that I really did not want to come home. I love spending time with family and making such fun memories. I love Canada!

Elle loved playing with all of her cousins and eating the candy from the parade!
And of course we can't forget about my mom's famous cake she makes to celebrate both Canada Day and July 4th!!! (I think that this year's was the best I've ever tasted)

It was so fun to go to Grandma Joans house and play with all the cousins. I loved being able to see my sisters too and just hang out. It was a very relaxing few days.

So...I know it's been a long time

I have been the worst at keeping my blog updated. People have actually be asking me why I even started one in the first place if I'm not going to keep it current. haha. So, here is how the last month or so has gone.
I am back at work. I changed jobs after coming back from maternity leave. I'm at the Rockyview Hospital on the Postpartum unit. You are probably all laughing now, thinking ha...you have a baby and then go work somewhere with babies and moms. haha. It's a huge change from where I was, but I am loving it!!! I am just working casual. That way Jared is able to be home with Elle the days/nights that I am at work. It is working wonderfully so far. Elle loves spending time with Jared and Jared is love being the stay-at-home dad. They definitely have a very special relationship, so Elle has had no problems with me being away. Work is going really good. It is so nice to use the skills that I learned in school and haven't had a chance to since having Elle.

Jared is playing softball again. Every Tuesday he has games and it hasn't really been the nicest weather out to enjoy them yet. I am hoping that Spring will soon be here and stay so that Elle and I can cheer on the "Ringers". He bought me a glove this year hopeing that I would be out there joining him, but I think that I prefer to just watch and chase after Elle. The games can get pretty intense and I would not want to be the cause of an error. haha.

Our garden is planted. I don't know if you can actually even call it a garden, but we have a patch (1 ft. x 4 ft.) by the side of our little house that we use. This year I am going to grow lettuce...so wish me luck!!

Other than that, Elle is getting bigger and bigger. She is so much fun. Starting to say a few more words, running everywhere, her hair is beginning to grow a little bit on top (still trying to catch up to the back though), still loves dogs, loves being outside (even when it's raining) and is very into babies/dolls and shoes. I can't believe that she not really my baby anymore. She is really understanding us now and will go and get things for us when we ask her. I love it!! We can't wait for summer. It is really going to be alot of fun and hopefully we will be able to spend lots of time outside swimming.
Hopefully life doesn't catch up with me again and I find myself having to recap everything that is going on. I will try to keep everyone up to date on our busy life.
