New Year's Masquerade Ball

What a fun new year's party!!!! We were invited/helped plan a fabulous party....it was so elegant, well decorated, great food, fun entertainment...what an incredible night! My parents (thanks again!) took the girls for the weekend while Jared and I had an amazing night out together and then worked out butts off the rest of the weekend before picking them up. We really enjoyed the time that we had together and the party was fabulous!!!! Thanks to everyone (you know who you are) who planned and put so much time into this event. It was so fun to get all dressed up and enjoy new year's eve. Nothing was forgotten; not even the strawberries on the rim of the glasses with sparkling drink in it. haha. We have such amazing friends.
These are just some of the decorations...they were so pretty. I LOVE parties & celebrating!

christmas continues in the country...

There is nothing better in the world than playing outside during the holidays with WIDE OPEN SPACES. We were able to quad, enjoy the horses, sled, build snow creatures, and laugh....we did alot of laughing (and were in pain) when we went crazy tubing behind the quad- I think that I'm getting old. haha!!
The girls playing in the snow....it was pretty cold out; they even played in the playhouse (we did a pretty good job at having our playhouse look similar eh?)

We were able to spend a few days at my parents house after Christmas. It was so relaxing and fun to play outside in the snow, see friends from high school, play in the alumni tournament (those were both me), and spend time with cousins. The food continued to be amazing and it was fun that Christmas was able to continue on for another week. We are so lucky to have family on both sides so close by that we get to spend lots of time with everyone.

Mommy and Paige on the GT Snow Racer behind the quad. It's so fun that both the girls are able to participate in the activities that we do outside. I love my girls!
These are all the nieces and nephews on the Woolf side...you can tell which kids belong together. haha. I'm so happy that we got to see the Workmans, they surprised us from Arizona on Christmas Eve. Such a fun surprise!!!

Christmas 2009

We had so much fun celebrating with family over the holidays. We ate amazing food, played games, hung out, played outside, watched the live nativity, made memories....I LOVE everything about Christmas!!! It was really fun to watch the excitement of the girls. Elle totally understood Santa this year and everything (even the candy cane) that she pulled out of her stocking was "everything she ever wanted". haha. She was really cute. Paige was just so excited with all the excitement going on around her...maybe just a little too overwhelmed (both the girls ended up with breakdowns) and we had to have a time out from Christmas activity and do normal morning routine things- eat breakfast- before we could return to the fun.
Santa was very good to us this year and even remembered to drop off bells from his sleigh and put them in the girls stockings. I was so proud of Jared and all the hard work that he put into the girls doll beds (I'll have to take a closer picture with their dolls in them), they were perfect and are loved on an hourly basis. They also LOVE their dolls; they were so much fun to make. Thanks Ang for your help!

Do you love the matching jammies that I made...everyone in the Baker family had the same!!! It was so much fun to all be matching! Christmas is fun like that! haha. I think it's our new family tradition.
We were sad to take the Christmas stuff down and put it away...we can't wait for next year!

Christmas is coming...

There are only a few more sleeps left...okay, I have been counting down and there are exactly 2! We are so excited!!!! Just wanted to update a few pictures from this month and the exciting festive things that we have been doing around here! We LOVE Christmas at our house and have been trying our best to be good. This year we have an Elf living at our house...his name is "Elmer" and everynight he flies back to Santa to tell him if we have been naughty or nice. We can't touch him and he can't talk to us...but we get to tell him what we want for Christmas, give him messages to tell Santa, tell him sorry if we were naughty...he's been such a good thing around our house this month. Elle is actually scared of him, but won't admit it very often. She just gets excited to find his new spot he's sitting in the morning. Elle is so excited for Santa to come.
She's also very into baby Jesus...at Gramma Baker's house she was walking around the house with the big kids and her note pad checking off how many baby Jesus' she could find (they have 40 at their house). She is really excited to see a real baby Jesus at the nativity...I just hope that it gets a little bit warmer or else we won't be able to go (-20 is a little bit too cold). I LOVE that Elle is beginning to understand the true meaning of Christmas and is just as excited as we are about all the festivities! We can't wait to spent a week with family. It will be so much fun hanging out, playing games, eating, and just enjoying the season. I am also VERY excited about all the snow that we have...I LOVE white christmases!!!

Happy Happy Birthday to Paigee!

I have a 1 year old!!!! So crazy! Last night I was thinking about last year and the events that occurred prior to Paige Karen's birth. I couldn't help but cry. She really is the BEST Christmas present that I could ever ask for. I feel guilty that her birthday is smashed in between holiday craziness, but I also feel so blessed that I have Paige to remind me about the true meaning of Christmas. I too had a baby just as Mary did during the Christmas season....babies are so special.
Happy Birthday Paige. You are so much fun! We love you. This morning when Paige woke up we were all so excited that we bust into her room singing "happy birthday to you". She had the BIGGEST smile on her face and started jumping up and down. She LOVED her new presents this morning (we got her a tent with a tunnel attached to it and they played in it for hours). Then we had Nadine and the boys over for a special birthday breakfast. We are celebrating ALL day long! We are swimming this afternoon as a family and then going over to Baker's to eat cake & ice cream before the BIG Baker sleepover. I hope that my Paigee will always feel special on her birthday and know that we LOVE her so much.

Some things Paige is now doing that are different:
-blowing kisses at anyone
-saying "UP" "Mama" "Daddy"
-holds any phone to her ear and says "Hi Dad"
-climbs on everything
-runs and crashes into mommy or daddy just for a quick hug
-refuses to do any sign language (she's kinda stubborn)
-eats, eats, and eats
-waves her little hand so dainty
-gets bumps and bruises ALL the time
-babbles to herself or anyone that will listen
-SCREAMS (I guess since she's the baby she has to be heard)
-knows what an elephant says
-points at everything
-seems to be learning something new all the time...she copies everything she hears
She LOVED her cake, but not the icing, just the opposite of Elle! Isn't her smile the cutest ever?? It makes me smile!!! I am so blessed to have such good girls!
Happy Birthday to you Paigee Goose!!!

Happy Anniversary Babe!

I love having a day to reflect on how much I love Jared! I love him more today than I did 4 years ago....when we were married for time and eternity! I am so excited to spend many, many more years together- and be able to have him as my companion forever. We seriously are the bestest friends. We love doing things together or just sitting in the same room together. He is someone that understands me best, someone who has seen me at my best worst and inbetween. I love this guy!!!! While we went out to eat together we chatted about the last 4 years and how much we have grown...as a couple, our family, spiritually, our income (haha), and our love for each other. We definitely compliment each other perfectly!!! I love you Jared!!
