Happy Mother's Day!!

I wanted to make a tribute to my mother today. She is such an amazing woman and such a great example to me. I never would have thought how hard and rewarding being a mother is. Thank you mom for being such a great person and teaching me to be the best mom to my girls! I love you!!
I had such an amazing day today! Jared is so good to me and spoiled me ALL day long. I didn't have to change any diapers, make any meals (except Paige of course), wipe any boogies, or put any babies to sleep. It was a day of pure relaxation! I even got a patio set to rest my feet on our new deck...life doesn't get much better than that!!! I love my girls. They make me want to be a better person and I am so glad that I have them in my life. As crazy as life gets, I can't imagine life without them. They make me smile...I just can't get enough of these two. I LOVE them!!

I LOVE all the mom's in my life that are such good examples to me. Thank you, thank you for being there for me when I needed advice, a shoulder to cry on, or a listening ear when life gets hard.

Sisterly Love!

Our little lady is already 4 months...I know that I say that every month, but I just can't believe how fast it is going and how BIG she is getting. I love it! I love watching her grow and learn new things. She is such a happy, smiley baby...just take one look at her and you will know why. Whenever someone takes a glance she is all SMILES!! I love her. She is almost sitting up by herself, is still only sleeping 3 hours at a time (that's pushing it sometimes) at night, LOVES to eat all the time, loves cuddles from anyone really, LOVES her Mommy, and is always watching everyone around her...especially Elle.

I am getting more and more excited about having my girls so close together. It is getting much easier as Paige is getting bigger, so I am now able to really enjoy that they are always going to be good friends. Paige loves Elle and Elle LOVES making Paige laugh and smile. She gets really excited when Paige sits up for a bit and when she plays with toys that she gives her. It's so fun to watch. I need to remember these special times that they have together...becuase I'm sure they will also have many "battles".haha.
As I'm writing this I am exhausted! Elle was such a stinker this evening while Jared was at work. Why do children feel the need to act differently when there Dad's are gone to work? I have had to deal with temper-tantrums, pee all over the top of her potty instead of opening the lid (she has never done this before), press play-do into the grooves of my hardwood floor, and hitting me in the face. I feel like she is purposely acting naughty!!! What do I do?? Jared keeps telling me that it's just a phase and she will "grow" out of it...he definitely has WAY more patience than I do.....I DO LOVE THAT LITTLE MONSTER THOUGH!!

Go FLAMES Go!!!!

Go FLAMES Go!!! We were so excited that the Flames were in the playoffs and have been celebrating for every game. We started off the series with a big RED, YELLOW, AND BLACK FLAMES party that included ketchup chips, Orange Pop, Creme Soda (Red), Coke (Black), orange/yellow/red/brown M&M's (yes I picked through them at the store and put back the blue and green ones), wings, pizza, veggies in flames colors, flames decorated cupcakes, and other appetizers. It was so much fun!!! Jared is a HUGE Flames Fan and has been also growing a mustache for the occasion too. We are all sad that they didn't get farther along in the series...but we DID have fun while it lasted!

A Golden Day!!

I had such a fabulous day....it was perfect and GOLDEN!!!  Since I was turning 24 on the 24th....IT WAS MY GOLDEN BIRTHDAY!! Jared made sure that today was so special. We went out for breakfast at "Cora's" the day before with the girls and then my parents took me to the "Keg" with Jared the night before.  We had so much fun just being together and celebrating me! I was spoiled and treated like a queen all weekend long. We were also able to go out to a friends cabin for the weekend with 9 other couples so the celebrating continued on and on. The girls set up a mini spa for one of the mornings and I got a full body massage, pedicure, and manicure.... I was so lucky and have the bestest friends that pampered me and made everyday moment of the weekend GOLDEN!! We had tons of fun partying, laughing, eating, and playing games. I LOVED all my birthday wishes, every birthday song, and all my gifts. It was my favorite birthday ever and THANK YOU, THANK YOU TO THE GREATEST HUSBAND AND FRIENDS FOR MAKING IT AMAZING!!!
My little sister MiKenLee made me the most delicious cake...Thanks so much!
I was so excited to get a pinada that I got to break ALL by myself! I've always wanted to do this! Thanks Linds and Susie...I LOVED all my GOLDEN stuff, especially my crown!

Happy Easter 2009...Happy Chocolate!!!

We had so much fun celebrating easter. The Baker family had a yearly tradition on easter weekend to hide easter treat bags around the house and the we all have to go searching...but they haven't been very good at doing it the past 2 years, so I took it upon myself to re-instate the Easter Bunny Bag Hunt (I just named it right now...has a good ring to it, doesn't it??!!). We had so much fun. Everyone pooled all the candy that they brought together and then Karen hid all the bags. We looked everywhere. Some of the fun spots where: under the sink stapled to the top corner of the vanity, in a light fixture on the ceiling, at the back of a cupboard in the bottom of a blender, sealed in a can of potato pearls, and under the garbage bag in the garbage. It was hilarious watching people search. The little kids were also able to join in the search by looking for all the little chocolate eggs that we hid everywhere. Elle had so much fun and really got into the SEARCHING part of the adventure. haha. It's so fun that she is actually understanding the holidays now and is able to get really excited with us. She even saw the "Easter Bunny" jump across the road on the way to Gramma Baker's house. On Easter Sunday Elle woke up to goodies in her Easter basket....books and a little table for her and Paige to enjoy in the kitchen. She was really excited and had to eat her breakfast on it right away. It's perfect for her to draw at, play with play-do, and eat there. I can't wait for Paige to be big enough so that they can sit together. We went to Karen and Don's ward for the Easter program that Karen puts on every year. It was so amazing and the Spirit was so strong. I love Easter!! I am so thankful that we are able to celebrate this time of year and be grateful for all that was done for us.
