37 weeks!

I know that this picture isn't the greatest, but I wanted to give everyone an update on the baby bump. I can't believe that I have 3 weeks left. I feel like I just found out I was pregnant. Time really has flown...and I know that with Christmas here in a month, the next 3 weeks will go by really fast too. I am feeling pretty good...REALLY PREGNANT...but pretty good! We are getting really excited to find out what this little baby is and to have a new little baby in our family. Elle is still obsessed with the baby. She is constantly giving my belly kisses and loves to put her head on it to give it a cuddle. haha. She's so cute and will be a great BIG sister!

Weekend Getaway!

We went to Fairmont, BC for the weekend. It was so nice to end Jared's holidays off with a little family vacation in BC. On the way out there we spotted 51 deer, 1 moose butt, and 3 mountain sheep. It was crazy foggy, but definitely kept me and Jared awake.  Elle loved swimming, seeing wildlife, feeding the ducks, and just having both mommy and daddy there with her. We love Fairmont and are so greatful that we had the opportunity to go out there for a few days. It was also very fun to spend the last few days we had out there with my parents. Grandparents are the greatest and Elle LOVES when "Dama" and "Bubba" are around.

Elle has been really trying to help lately....this is her after I asked "Elle can you go and get me your swimsuit so that I can help you put it on." hahaha. She is getting so big!!!

HApPy HaLloWEeN!!!

We had so much fun this halloween because Elle was so excited. She is starting to understand the seasons and holidays and catches on to the excitement. I told her that halloween was for scaring people so she kept saying "BOO". It was so cute. She loved to scare everything, actually the morning of halloween she said "boo" 25 times while I was doing her hair. We had to go through the list of everyone that we would scare that day. haha. Elle also loved trick or treating. She practiced at Gramma Bakers house (it's a good thing too, cause she got great candy that way and we didn't even have to leave the house). She would say "Trick Treat" and hold out her bucket for Gramma to fill. It was hilarious!!!  We really enjoyed baking pumpkin and cat sugar cookies too...Elle really only liked the icing. haha. I loved dressing Elle up this year. She was the perfect little fairy (even though she had to wear her boots...I think it made the costume, haha). She was so cute and such a good sport for letting me put all 8 ponytails in her hair. I love this little girl!
This year we were invited to a "Disney" theme Halloween party. Every couple had to decide beforehand what movie they wanted to dress up from and let the host know so that no one was dressed alike. Jared and I chose Snow White...he was Dopey Dwarf and I was the Evil Queen. We had so much fun. Everyone's costumes were so good. I love Halloween!!!

Exploring our new city...Fall 2008!

We had so much fun today exploring Okotoks. We went down by the Sheep River and played at the park, played in the leaves, and walked by the river (well one of us walked into the river, but that is besides the point. haha). We love fall....it has been fun to watch as Elle really explores the leaves and is starting to understand all of the seasons. We are really liking Okotoks and the small- town feel that it has. I do admit that I miss Calgary though, but I'm sure that it will pass when I figure out all that Okotoks has to offer. It has been so nice to spend time together as a family. I will never take advantage of the time that we get to spend together and the fun memories that we create. I'm just so grateful that Families are Forever!!!

Jared turned around for a second to help me across the river and Elle didn't even hesitate. She was standing in the little water hole by the river loving the water on her feet. It was a good thing we saw her when we did or one of us would have had to go in to grab her out of it. Let's just say, Elle really loves water and needs some rain boots!!!

32 weeks!

I have been so bad at updating everyone on the baby bump. I am 32 weeks now and feeling pretty good. I only have a couple more weeks of intense work, but Jared is on holidays right now for a month so it won't feel as bad since he'll be around. Everything is good with the baby. We had another ultrasound to check how baby was growing and the location on the placenta.....everything looks good. Only 8 weeks left!! I can't believe how fast the time is going. We are getting very excited to meet this little person and have a new baby in our family.
32 weeks....but we aren't counting, right??!!!

Elle loves my belly. She can't wait to be a BIG sister. She gives the baby kisses every morning when she wakes up and every night before bed. She has been singing to be baby and is already showing me how she'll be very "soft" to the baby when it arrives. She's so cute!

House Pictures

I know there are many of you who have been wanting to see some house pictures....so here they are!!! We moved in October 1 with the help of lots of family and friends. The move went so well...I was very surprised when everything was out of our old place and into our new house by 1:00pm. We actually signed all the papers and had the keys handed to us at 10:00am and then everything was moved in. That night, Jared and I went to work and started to put things away. It felt so nice to have a spot for everything and to start making our new house, our home. We love it! It is so cozy. So here are some pictures of our prize possession.

We got new couches....I love them! I am so happy that I was brave and got the RED ones. We are also in the process of looking for dark brown baskets to fill the bookcase. Then all the wires from the TV will be covered.

This picture is for my sisters....I got a new duvet cover for my bedroom. I'm going to paint the wall behind my bed a bluish-green color to help the blue stand out. What do you think?

Isn't she Cute???!!!

As I have been getting ready for Halloween and trying to find a costume for Elle, I attempted to make a tutu for her. It was so easy and I'm grateful for sisters that are willing to share their talents with me. I just wish that we lived closer together so that we could do all these fun projects together.  Elle was such a good little model as I tried to capture her new tutu. Isn't she so cute??!!! We have a little built-in bench at our front entrance that has been the perfect picture taking spot. I think that I was having a little too much fun with the camera and Elle was loving all the attention.
